Rank Specific Duties:
Emperor Dury: The role of the Emperor is to supervise the overall
functioning of the Empire. He will preside over the High command meetings to discuss
issues relating to the Empire on at least a monthly basis. The Emperor has the power
to veto any policy that he feels would not be in the best interest of the Empire.
He has the power to appoint and remove any officer to or from any position he sees
fit. He will also approve promotions or demotions submitted to him by the chief of
staff. He can bestow titles of nobility to deserving officers.
Chief of Staff: The
chief of staff is appointed by the Emperor. He will see that the Empire is well managed.
He will collect the taxes (monthly dues), submit the promotions/demotions requests
submitted to him by army commanders to the Emperor.
He will make public all changes
of policies. All internal complaints will be submitted to chief of staff for review.
He will also have to attend the High Command meeting scheduled on monthly basis.
He will be responsible to follow up on the armies’ needs.
Along with the army commander
he will assign Battalions/regiments/Brigades/divisions to deserving officers.
High
Command: Formed by the Emperor, Chief of staff, the Marshals of the empire and army
generals. They should meet at least on a monthly basis to review the status of the
Empire and address any pending issues. Decisions will be taken by the majority vote,
the Emperor has power of veto as discussed above.
Ambassador: The Ambassador is appointed
by the Emperor; he will have the duty to inform the High Command of foreign powers’
requests. He and only he can make official declarations to other diplomats on behalf
of the Empire after discussion by the High Command. In the interest of providing
a united front, no officer will respond to a foreign diplomat’s declarations but
the Ambassador after discussions are held by the High Command.
Engineers: To be part
of the prestigious engineer corps the officer must be willing to apply his skills
(moding, code writing, arts and graphics….) on regular basis to further the Empire,
and participate in the making of the Napoleonic World.
Army Generals: Army generals
are responsible for the good functioning of their armies, making sure their officers
do their duties. They should stay in constant contact with their corps generals,
getting feedback of the status of their officers, recommending promotions and demotions
to the chief of staff. A short update of the composition and readiness of the army
will be submitted on monthly basis to the Chief of staff. They are also required
to participate in the High command meetings on monthly basis and need to make the
Chief of staff aware of the progress of all recruits within their Velites division.
Corps Generals: Corps generals are responsible for the smooth functioning of their
corps making sure their officers do their duties. They will get feedback from their
officers and discuss them with their Army commander. They need to be able to lead
their men in the field at least 5 times per month. They need to post at least 1 helpful
tip or tactic to help junior officers at the Anthony Lambert Military Academy of
St Cyr per month.
To become a corps general the officer must have successfully accomplished
his task as General of the Velites’ division.
Divison Generals: Division generals
are responsible for the smooth functioning of their divisions, they need to keep
track of their officers’ accomplishments. They need to be able to lead their division
in the field at least 5 battles a month.
They need to regularly participate in discussions
about tactics and tips at the Anthony Lambert Military Academy of St Cyr. They need
to post two AAR a month. The best division general will be appointed the Velites
Division general. It is an honor to train new recruits, and a job well done will
be recognized and rewarded by the Emperor himself. An accomplished task would be
after successfully training 3 new officers to the rank of Lt Col. The velite division
general will make his army commander and the chief of staff aware of the velites’
progress.
Two mandatory requirements before becoming a division general are to lead
your brigade to victory in 5 battles, and to have participated in and finished one
campaign.
Brigade Generals: Brigade Generals are responsible for the smooth functioning
of their brigades. They will lead their brigade on the field at least 5 times a month.
They are required to participate in ongoing campaigns, post 3 AAR a month and participate
in discussions in the Anthony Lambert Military Academy of St Cyr.
One requirement
to become a brigade general is to prove that you are able to command men in battle
gaining a least 2 victories. You will have to ask the senior officer on the field
his permission to command.
Lt Colonels and Colonels: Colonels are required to maintain
regular presence on the battlefield, fight at least 10 battles a month. They are
required to read the content of the Anthony Lambert Military Academy of St Cyr and
participate and initiate debates there.
They are required to participate in ongoing
campaigns and post 3 AAR per month.
Requirements to move from Lines to Grenadiers
then Guards
These will be decided by the Emperor, based on length of service, degree
of activity in the clan and skills on the battlefield. The guard will be divided
into Young/Middle and old Guard categories.
